Our vegetable soup is done solely with seasonal
vegetables, so it varies constantly. We keep our
flavours infused with cumin and the floral essence of
tarragon.
It is served with garlic butter and mozzarella crouton

Fresh tomatoes, garlic, onions, capers, olives, parsley &
mozzarella. Dressed with Il-Forn olive oil/basil dressing.

Mussels Platter

Mussels stuffed with a creamy tomato and garlic
sauce, breaded and roasted till brown & just done.

About il-Forn Art Gallery & Wine Bar

Being located in the heart of the colloquium in the medieval City of 

Vittoriosa we offer an absolutely unique food concept in an equally
inspiring atmosphere.
Built in 1637 our building was originally part of a hospital and was
later used as a bakery. With three large mill rooms, two courtyards,
the baker’s oven and several smaller side rooms , the layout can
only be described as impressive.
Although all the original features have been retained, such as the
baker's oven and the patterned Maltese tiles, the rooms and
furniture were decorated and partly designed by the Austrian Artist
Clemens Hasengschwandtner who considers the building as an on
going art project which creates a more than colourful and inspiring
atmosphere.
In summer 2002 Il–Forn opened as a wine bar & art gallery with a
locally inspired food concept. We specialize in simple, well
balanced dishes made of the best local ingredients.
We really go a long way to make sure to offer the crispiest bread,
the best Ġbejniet, the freshest vegetables … and come up with
some creative ideas to combine these ingredients into mouthwatering

delicatessens.
Since wine is a personal passion we are quite proud to offer one of
the largest wine lists in Malta and are constantly investing in new
and exciting wines from all over the world.
Il–Forn offers a variety of different rooms and setups for all kind of
venues. Our groundfloor can seat up to 80 persons, ‘Il-Bitha’ 40
persons and 'L-Ghorfa' 40 persons comfortably.
